What are Sales Engagement Platforms (SEPs)?

Sales engagement platforms (SEPs) are the next evolutionary step of CRM software tools combined with elements of sales acceleration and sales enablement technology.

SEP in most of the times is been used by salesmen and it is a combination of typical/generic CRM features + advanced VOIP telephony features (salesmen being able to receive calls on their mobile) + automation (to remind salesmen their tasks or pending activities) + ready-made workflows and templates for various niches i.e. dealerships + analytics & tracking

Sales enablement is ensuring salespeople have access to whatever resources they need to get the job done, whether that’s data analytics, coaching modules, scripts, templates, or marketing collateral. It’s a process of “help them help your business,” whereby Sales leaders and Sales managers remove as many barriers to uptime as possible, leaving a frictionless, smooth prospect engagement from start to finish.

A sales engagement platform is a system of engagement that compliments a system of record—like a CRM—and is comprised of five key components:
* content management,
* communications,
* predictive analytics,
* CRM integration, and
* partner applications.
